The Juan Haus. It is a residence that serves as a meeting place, training and production of the work of artists linked to the living arts in a rural setting. It takes place during the month of July in a rural house.
The residence emphasizes Land Art and its connection to the body. The La Juan Haus experience culminates with a sample of the projects in the La Juan Gallery space.
The relationship between performative practice and the so-called Land Art has received rather few examples of their union. two fields in which the synthesis between the work with the body and the landscape reveal the sharing of such defining elements as presence, the always latent memory of the ephemerality of living bodies, or the parallels between the physical act and the rhythms of natural processes. Likewise, we must resist the temptation to reduce this union to a vision of romantic escape or questions of environmental claim.
